The Clash

Process and Reasoning: This an assignment from my Illustration class. I started off drawing a union jack in pastels, then etched in phrases from the Clash song lyrics with a pencil to give a grafitti look. I also drew the famus picture of the guitarist smashing his guitar into the ground in pencil crayon then cut it into pieces representative of glass shatterring. I tried to keep with the "anti-establishment" and chaotic theme throughout this piece to better represent the punk ideals.
